Band Takes First Place At Trumbull Classic, Readies For Grasso Festival
With hundreds of spectators in the audience, The Newtown High School Marching Band & Color Guard went into the MAC Competition at The Trumbull Classic and came out with first place in Class IV.

Class I: Somers Marching Band, 56.60; Bridgeport Central High School Marching Band, 52.45
Class II: Shelton High School, 63.05; Brookfield High School, 59.55
Class III: Bethel High School Marching Wildcats, 69.55; Stamford Marching Band, 69.50; Westhill High School, 66.25; Fitch Falcon Band, 62.35
Class IV: Newtown High School Marching Band and Color Guard, 79.80; Naugatuck High School Marching Band, 74.90; Danbury High School Marching Band, 72.25; Jonathan Law Marching Band, 70.30; Brien McMahon High School, 70.10
Class V: Norwalk High School Marching Band, 83.80; Port Chester High School, 78.80; Ramsey High School Marching Band, 76.80; New Milford High School Marching Band, 76.60
Newtown High School Marching Band & Color Guard will host its home show, The Grasso  Festival on Saturday, October 6.
Gates open at 5 pm. Admission is $7 per adult and $5 for seniors and students.
