We Are Fickle

To the Editor:

This is in regards to last week’s article on the name change for Newtown High School’s stadium.

How fickle we are to want to change the name for the lack of a donation from Bruce Jenner.

As for Coach De Groat, yes, he did a good job. But what about Mr and Mrs W. Lackaye, who gave years of unselfish devotion to SAC’s Boys Club in Sandy Hook, and at no cost to the town.

Rev Paul Cullens is another person who gave a lot to the youth of the town.

There are others, including the veterans who have done much charitable work with little fanfare.
