Construction Underway
At Bradley Airport
WINDSOR LOCKS â To help complete the pedestrian bridge connecting the new parking garage to Terminal A at Bradley International Airport, roadway traffic in front of the terminal area will be temporarily shifted to the right from 1 am to 11 am on three consecutive nights beginning Tuesday, October 17.
Traffic will be allowed to flow through the inner lanes closer to the terminal, and the temporary lane shift is not expected to create any delays. Roadway signs and State Police will be present during the work to assist arriving passengers. Should bad weather occur during construction, the traffic shift may be extended to October 20.
The construction of the pedestrian bridge is part of the ongoing work on the 3,453-space garage and Bradleyâs $200 million new terminal project. The new terminal will feature an East Concourse with modern amenities and centralized services, efficiently utilizing space to accommodate the Airportâs record-setting passenger growth. Phase 1 of the garage is expected to be completed in the spring of 2001.
