John Mesaric, Sandy Hook Businessman, Dies At 46

John J. Mesaric, 46, of 41 Chipmunk Trail, Sandy Hook, the beloved companion
of Barbara Bradley, died September 10 in Danbu ry Hospital.
He was the father of Jennifer Piccirillo of Newtown and Julie Mesaric of
Danbury.
He was born in Bridgeport on April 28, 1953, the son of George and Edith
(Lane) Mesaric of Troy, Me. A resident of Newtown most of his life, he owned
and operated the Sandy Hook Deli and M & M Pump Service. He was an avid hunter
using bow, muzzle loader and rifle. He also organized a variety of fund
raisers for organizations and those individuals in need of support.
John Mesaric is survived by four brothers, James of Troy, Me., Michael of
Georgia, Richard of New Jersey and Mark of Unity, Me.; a sister, Catherine
Mesaric of Winslow, Me.; and a granddaughter, Chelsea Rose Piccirillo. He is
also survived by Charles Cabral of Middlebury; a stepdaughter, Shari Burton of
Newtown; and four step-grandchildren, Kelly and Michael Burton and Jessie and
Erin Lewis.
Funeral services were held September 14 at Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street,
Newtown. Burial was in Zoar Cemetery.
