Endorses Foncello
To the Editor:
I am writing in support of the re-election of Marty Foncello for State Representative for the 107th District.
Marty’s life is a story of service, to country and to community.
A resident of Brookfield for 40 years, Marty has served his community in many ways through involvement in Scouting, Little League, Rotary, Knights of Columbus, the local schools, and teaching at WCSU.
Marty’s public service to Brookfield includes two terms as First Selectman, which I feel certain would have been many more than two terms, but his service was needed elsewhere. Marty was called to active duty as a Senior Intelligence Officer with the Department of Homeland Security after the attacks of 9/11, where he served until 2022. He had previously been an Army officer for 28 years and had retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in Military Intelligence.
After a lifetime of service to the Brookfield community and the nation, Marty was elected two years ago as the State Representative for the newly drawn 107th district encompassing Brookfield and parts of Bethel and Newtown where he has served admirably, once again. Marty is very active and engaged in all three communities, and as I have gotten to know him, I have found him to be compassionate, easy to talk to, genuine, and responsive.
I urge my fellow residents of the 107th district to return Marty to Hartford for a second term.
