The following dogs and cats are available for adoption from the Newtown pound, which is located at the end of Ethan Allen Road (behind the transfer station):
JENNY is a three-year-old spayed female white/brindle mix breed who is well socialized with people. Jenny is energetic and would play throughout the day with her new owners.
MARTY is a three-year-old Rottweiler mix who is very playful.
FELIX is a two-year-old male pomeranian. He seems to get along with other dogs and cats, is fine around children and enjoys sitting in laps.
CHARLOTTE, a four-year-old female Hokkaido-terrier mix, has a sweet personality and is friendly with other dogs and people.
SASHA is a four-and-a-half-year-old spayed female brindle Terrier mix who would be an excellent companion for children.
ARTHUR is an eight-month-old male mixed breed. He loves to cuddle and thinks heâs a lap dog. Arthur is very playful and puppy-like but can also be calm and very gentle.Â
PRISCILLA is a seven-year-old female Pitbull. She is great around cats and dogs and craves affection. She has a very sweet personality and loves to be around people.
AMBER is a four-and-a-half-year-old white/brown spayed female mixed breed. Amber has a sweet nature and is fine with other dogs and cats.
PAT is a Calico cat who was found on Cherry Street and needs new owners.
KITTENS: There are kittens who are looking for new homes and plenty of attention at Animal Control.

Canine Advocates of Newtown, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer group, raises funds to spay/neuter and provide shots against DHLPP and rabies for all of the Newtown Pound cats and dogs.
