Mary Rose Acquino Johnson

Lovingly Remembered

Mary Rose Acquino Johnson, 82, of Trumbull, died September 22 at Bridgeport Hospital. Mrs Johnson was born August 1, 1926, in Norwalk, to Helen Duffy Acquino and Frederick Acquino.

She is survived by her loving sisters and brothers, Mildred Wakeman of Newtown, Helen Tullo of East Haven, Eva Richman and her husband, Douglas, of La Jolla, Calif., Frederick Acquino and his wife, Connie, of Merrimack, N.H., Thomas Acquino and his wife, Ginny, of Spring Hill, Fla., and John Acquino and his wife, Marilyn, of South Hampton, N.Y.; her two beloved children, Janice Leas and her husband, Bill, of Trumbull and Everett Johnson and his wife, Linda, of Naugatuck. In addition, Mrs Johnson is survived by her grandchildren, Jeffrey Leas, Victoria Prickett and her husband, Roger, Cheryl Waters and her husband, Richard, and Everett, Jr and his wife, Mickie; also by great-grandchildren, Nicholas Healy, Jesse Prickett, Shawn Prickett, Ricky Waters, Joseph Waters, Britney Johnson, and Kyle Johnson; and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Everett August Johnson; as well as two brothers, Franklin and Luke Acquino; and a sister, Ruth Acquino Smith.

Mrs Johnson was a longtime resident of Westport as well as of Norwalk, Naugatuck, and Trumbull. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, as well as a devoted wife to her husband, Everett. She will be fondly remembered and terribly missed by all of those friends and relatives who had the pleasure of knowing her and of being blessed by her warmth and loving smile.

Funeral services took place September 29 in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull. Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
