Burn Victim Listed As Critical

A local man, who received second-degree burns on about 40 percent of his body in a September 24 incident at his 17 Head O’ Meadow Road home, was listed in critical condition in Bridgeport Hospital’s burn treatment unit on the morning of Thursday, October 2.

Sherwood Baisden, 72, was being treated in the hospital for burns he suffered when an aerosol can exploded in a fire on his property where he had been burning debris, police have said.

On September 25, a hospital spokeswoman had listed his condition as “critical but stable.”
