Angelina DiNapoli Bowder, 93, of Shelton, formerly of Newtown, died September 27. Born October 12, 1914, in Stamford, Mrs Bowder was the daughter of Michael and Francesca Ceretta DiNapoli.
She was a member of the Central Baptist Church in Westerly, R.I., and she was also a volunteer at Shelton Lakes, in Shelton. Mrs Bowder was a dietary aide at St Josephâs Manor in Trumbull prior to her retirement.
Survivors include her two daughters, Frances Cothran and her husband, Donnon, of Ansonia, and Margaret Lescynski of Derby; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a niece; a nephew; and several cousins.
A graveside service was held at the Newtown Village Cemetery, Route 25, Newtown, at noon on Thursday, October 2, with Pastor Enock Yatri of First United Methodist Church of Ansonia officiating. Memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Ansonia, 50 Franklin Street, Ansonia CT 06401.
