Watercolor Program At SCAN

Pat Billeci will be demonstrating in watercolor the next meeting of The Society of Creative Arts of Newtown (SCAN) scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, at 7:30 pm. Her subject will be a character study.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held in the lower meeting room of Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street in Newtown (at the flagpole). All are welcome and admission is free.

Ms Billeci is a longtime resident of Dutchess County. She has an AAS degree in advertising art and design from the State University of New York. She worked in that field until she moved into fine art full time.

Her work hangs in galleries and private collections in the United States, Europe and the Far East. She was profiled in American Artist magazine in 1994 and Northlight Books selected her work for the cover of book Splash 5 in 1998.

Ms Billeci is an elected artist of North East Watercolor Society and Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club. Her work has earned numerous awards over the years, including the prestigious Solo Show Award at Kent Art Association President’s Exhibition as well as the Express Award for Narrative Content at the Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolors earlier this year. Ms Billeci has also been accepted into a national show of the American Watercolor Society as well as in many other national and international juried shows.
