Kids Care Club Presents Handmades For Habitat
Kids Care Club of Newtown and New Fairfield are supporting Handmades for Habitat. Approximately 100 elementary-age children will be making and donating crafts to Housatonic Habitat for Humanity. The crafts will be featured at Housatonicâs two November crafts fairs. All proceeds will do directly to the Housatonic Habitat for Humanity.
With more than 800 registered clubs in the United States, Kids Care Club, founded in 1993, distributed more than $1.7 million in relief last year. The clubâs mission is to develop compassion and the spirit of charity in children through hands-on service projects that benefit the needy in their local and global community. Woodworkers, jewelry makers, quiltmakers, potters, and other artisans are encouraged to join their children in donating one of their own creations to the crafts fairs.
