Karen Anderson Cole
Karen Anderson Cole, age 40, wife of Allan D. Cole of 43 Dana Road, Danbury, died September 30 at Danbury Hospital. She was born on Long Island on December 30, 1962, and was the daughter of John and Romilda Anderson of Newtown.
She was raised in Newtown and graduated from Newtown High School in 1980.
Mrs Cole received her bachelor of arts degree from Western Connecticut State University, and her bachelor of science in nursing from Fairfield University. Besides her parents and her husband, she is survived by her son, Lucas Allan Cole; two sisters, Susan Sullivan and her husband, Mark, of New Milford, Kristen Cassetta and her husband, Doug, of Darien; one brother, John Anderson II of Guilford, and her sister-in-law, Christine Peck.
She is also survived by her father-in-law, Albert A. Cole and his wife, Penny, of New Milford, and her mother-in-law, Carole Cole of Danbury, and her brother-in-law, Bobby Cole and wife, Nellie, of Danbury. She was previously deceased by her brother-in-law, Jeffrey Cole.
She also leaves several nieces and nephews, as well as many other family members who loved her deeply.
Her greatest achievements were her son Lucas, and being a loving and caring mother and wife. She would like to be remembered as a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. She was devoted to her family, and will be greatly missed. She will always be thought of as a kind, generous soul, who put everyone else before herself.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St Gregoryâs The Great, 85 Great Plain Road, Danbury, at 10 am on Friday, October 3. Interment will take place at Wooster Cemetery. Calling hours were scheduled at The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main St, Newtown, between 4 and 8 pm, Thurs, October 2.
