Jennie J. Brush

Jennie J. (Layok) Brush, 91, of Patricia Lane, Newtown, wife of the late Kenneth L. Brush, died September 23 at her home.

She was born in Crabtree, Penn., on October 8, 1911, daughter of the late Frank and Mary (Hrobac) Layok.

Mrs Brush retired from Fairfield Hills Hospital in 1975 after 20 years employment as a psychiatric aide. She was a parishioner of St Peter Church, Danbury.

Mrs Brush will be sadly missed by her daughter and caregiver, Shirley J. Gervasoni of Newtown, with whom she made her home, daughter Barbara A. Willis of Danbury; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by brothers, John and Edward Layok of Danbury, and Louis Layok of New Fairfield; sisters, Mary Ukers of Danbury, Elaine Symanowitz of New Fairfield, and Anne Seidl, of Seaford, N.Y.; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Agnes Gillotti.

Funeral Services and burial in St Peter Cemetery were private.
