Caring For Pets License Plates

HARTFORD –– A new “Caring for Pets” commemorative license plate is now available for cat lovers. A limited supply of random number CAT plates have been made available through the Department of Motor Vehicles but can only be ordered through the state’s Animal Population Control Program (APCP).

To order a $50 plate, contact the APCP at 860-713-2507. A portion of the proceeds provides spay and neuter services for animals adopted from municipal impound facilities, to help prevent pet overpopulation in Connecticut.
