STRATFORD â The Connecticut Institute for Psychosynthesis, 2225 Main Street, will begin its accelerated track training on October 13. Social workers, people with some counseling background are encouraged to attend.
Psychosynthesis is a method of psychological development and self realization founded by Roberto Assagioli, an Italian psychiatrist, in 1910. A type of psychotherapy, it is described as a collection of concepts, techniques, and creative processes that can be used to heal minds, bodies, and spirits, guided by an inner knowing that is called the higher self.
On October 14 there will be a full day Sacred Circle, beginning at 10:30 am. Bring a sandwich and stay for coffee. From 12:30 to 2:30, there will be a âRecovering From September 11â workshop; 2:30 to 3 pm, âGifts of the Sprit from Native American Cultureâ; 3 to 4:15 pm, The Writing Room Class. Suggested contribution is $30 for all, $20 for two programs or whatever a participant can afford to pay.
