Toastmasters To Host Speech Contest At Town Hall October 7
The Newtown Toastmasters Club announces a speech contest to be held in the Alexandria Room at Edmond Town Hall, 45 Main Street, on October 7.
The contest will bring together speech winners from regional clubs throughout the state. This event will be unique as it will focus on humorous speeches and speech evaluation. Winners at the Newtown event will advance to the District Contest held in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., in November.
The public is invited, free of charge. Doors open at 6:30 pm with contest starting promptly at 7.
The Newtown Toastmasters Club is a nonprofit organization that offers members the chance to improve and develop public speaking through chapter meetings, training seminars, and speech contests. The organization is part of Toastmasters International, the worldâs largest educational organization devoted to communication and leadership development.
The Newtown chapter meets on the first Wednesday and third Tuesday of every month at 7 pm at Town Hall South, 3 Main Street. Meetings are open to the public.
