Taunton Lake And Hunter Ridge

I attended the September 17 meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission to learn more about the proposed Hunter Ridge subdivision on Taunton Lake. I listened to the testimony of two widely renowned environmental experts concerning the ecological impact of the proposed subdivision. What I learned was alarming.

The current proposal for 14 lots squeezed onto a property that was previously subdivided for only four lots is environmentally unsound. The concerns raised by the experts were numerous and compelling. I urge all concerned parties to carefully reevaluate and redesign this project so that it complies with all federal, state, and local regulations with the environmental integrity of Taunton Lake being the top priority.
