Kymber Nicole Jennings and Daniel James Beers were married at Golden Gardens in Seattle, Wash., on August 9, 2009. While Seattle weather can be unpredictable, the couple was blessed with a beautiful day and a perfect sunset for their wedding day.
The Reverend John Roberts of Moses Lake, Wash., officiated the ceremony.
Daniel, a former Sandy Hook resident, is the son of Judith and David Beers of Sandy Hook.
The bride is the daughter of Dayna and Matthew Jennings. She was given into marriage by her parents. For her wedding day Kymber selected a soft white Grecian strapless gown with a beaded empire waist, coupled with a mantilla veil with hand sewn lace. She carried a bouquet of lilies, iris, and sunflowers.
The brideâs sister, Melissa Jennings, was her maid of honor. She wore a deep purple taffeta dress and carried a bouquet of sunflowers and red gladiolas. Bridesmaids were Madison Jennings of Seattle, Britany Green of Moses Lake, Wash., Michelle Jennings of Woodville, Wash., Caroline Cobb of Wakima, Wash., and Amy Piturachsatit of Monroe, Wash. Their dresses and flowers mirrored those of the maid of honor.
Best man was Daniel Sobo of Cambridge, Mass. (formerly of Newtown), and ushers were Zachary Jennings of Moses Lake, Wash., Jarrod Franklin of Miami, and Jon Papaicik of Chicago.
Emma Brennan was the junior bridesmaid and Avery Brennan was the flower girl. Both are residents of Seattle. The photographer was Grayson Bryant of Washington, D.C., and formerly of Newtown.
The bride graduated from Moses Lake Christian Academy in 2003, and then from Central Washington University with a degree in German and history in 2008.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of Newtown High School, and a 2002 graduate of Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., where he earned degrees in journalism and political science. He is a Fulbright-Hays Scholar, and is finishing his doctoral degree in political science from Indiana University at Bloomington.
The couple honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, and have returned to their home in Seattle.
