*His new album, Buffet Hotel, doesn’t come out until December and the November date he has in Connecticut is continuing his Summerzcool Tour but I don’t care (“I don’t care / it’s five o’clock somewhere!”), I’m still in: JIMMY BUFFETT & THE CORAL REEFER BAND will be back at Mohegan Sun – this time for a full show in the arena, not another private show at Margaritaville – on Saturday, November 21.

Tickets will be on sale this weekend, Saturday at 10 through TicketMaster, priced at $126 to $181 each, and there is a six-ticket limit per person. If they don’t sell out for some reason on Saturday, tickets will also be available through the casino’s box office beginning Sunday morning at 10.

*LYLE LOVETT will celebrate the October 20 release of his newest album, Natural Forces (Curb/Lost Highway), with a fall concert tour. The 34 city outing launches October 2 in San Francisco at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival and continues through November 25 in Fort Worth, Tex.

For the last few years Lovett has been alternating Large Band tours with intimate acoustic shows teaming him with John Hiatt as well as larger songwriter circles also featuring Hiatt, Guy Clark and Joe Ely. When he reaches Bridgeport for a November 7 show, Lovett will be accompanied by the full band.

Tickets are available for this show through Fairfield Theatre Company, which has an ongoing series of concerts at the Bridgeport theater, and they’re priced from $52 to $87. Visit FairfieldTheatre.org or call 203-259-1036.

*Tickets for FURTHUR, an event that will include PHIL LESH, BOB WEIR, JEFF CHIMENTI, JOHN KADLECIK, JAY LANE and JOE RUSSO and will be at The Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford on Friday, December 11, will be on sale next weekend.

Priced at $49.50 and $65, those tickets will be available through LiveNation.com beginning Saturday, October 10, at 10 am.

*Singer-songwriter LAURA SUMNER will continue to celebrate her first release, Dreamology, when she and a small band perform at Mocha Coffee House this weekend. Laura will have Friday’s set, which begins at 8 pm at 3 Glen Road.

Rock trio THE YA-YA’S will then be in the Hook on Saturday, also performing from 8 to 10 pm.

*THE DOUG WAHLBERG BAND will be at The Georgetown Saloon in Redding this weekend — Saturday night, starting at 9 — and then returning to The Black Duck Café in Westport next weekend. That show will be Friday, October 9, starting at 10.

The band also has a pair of shows at The Kicking Horse Grill in Southport this month. They’ll be there on Saturday, October 10, and again for the grill’s Halloween Bash on Saturday, October 31.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you… on the road.

Questions and comments should be sent to Shannon Hicks c/o The Newtown Bee, 5 Church Hill Road, Newtown CT 06470, or shannon@thebee.com, or call the office at 426-3141. Shows listed at clubs are for ages 21 and over unless specified.
