A Generous Donation

To the Editor:

On behalf of the VA Connecticut Healthcare System, I would like to thank Anita Adzima of Southbury, as well as Bob Schmidt and the Newtown Lions Club for their generous donation of a Wii system to the VA that became available after the Duck Race.

Through a previous article in The Newtown Bee, the Lions Club was aware of our interest in robotic therapy. This system will be used by the neurology department to help veterans with Parkinson’s disease attempt to improve their functioning and daily lives. I am truly fortunate to be raising my family in such a wonderful community.
