Thanks From The Salvation Army
To the Editor:
The Salvation Army wishes to thank everyone who donated money, time, food, supplies, prayers, and good wishes to the staff and volunteers of our organization over the last two weeks.
The events of September 11 will remain fresh in our hearts and minds for years to come, and we will continue to use your donations to serve those who are hurting and in need of our programs and services.
While terrorist acts may cause our lives to be disrupted, and many lives devastated, it is evident that no one can eradicate the drive and determination of our citizensâ spirit. We cannot list everyone who supported, and continue to support, our efforts, but our gratitude is deep and genuine.
The Salvation Army serves Connecticut citizens with a variety of programs and services all year âround, and will continue to do so, as we meet the more immediate needs of those affected by this horrific event. We will pray Godâs blessing on those who are hurting, those who are in need, those who continue to recover and rebuild, and those who help us in this ministry.
