Waldorf School Slates ‘Storytelling

For Resilience’ Lecture

The Housatonic Valley Waldorf School has scheduled Nancy Mellon as the first guest lecturer in the school’s Waldorf at Home series. Ms Mellon’s 9 am to 5 pm course called “Storytelling for Resilience” is scheduled for October 1 for a cost of $120 at the school’s 40 Dodgingtown Road location.

Ms Mellon teaches storytelling as a healing art at many locations in the country and abroad, according to the school She is the author of Storytelling and the Art of Imagination, Storytelling with Children, and Body Eloquence.

The event will show attendees how stories, plot lines, and a family’s personal lore can serve as a gateway to “the intuitive wisdom that supports our ability to survive challenges and to thrive,” according to a press release.

The workshop will also include an hourlong “Eurythmy” class with Nigel Harrison.

For more information call the school’s Enrollment office at 203-364-9881. For more information on Ms Mellon visit www.healingstory.com.
