Vote ‘Em Out!

To the Editor:

Wow, are the taxpayers getting mad at the school board? Here in Newtown the school board has been lauded with nothing but favor since I came to town some 37 years ago. Each year they and the teacher/advocates mommies cry over how bad the world will be unless the teachers (and administration) get their annual raises and special what-nots.

Now we hear that the bus program has been given (they did bid lower - right?) to an out-of-town firm. We are asked to write, call, shout to the tops of our lungs about this travesty per Bridget Seaman’s letter.

Ms Seaman – don’t waste your lung power; show up at the voting booth and vote the bums out; and while your doing that, continue on down the list to Chris Murphy, because the bums in Washington DC are doing the same thing – only on a grander scale.

But really this ain’t nothing – did you read the article on the front page of The Bee? – raises for the top school officals. Duh?

I give up; does anybody realize that we are in a recession? Who has had a raise in the past three years? Not me. But my taxes keep going up and my neighbors are selling their houses (no buyers so they now are trying to rent them) because they do not have jobs. Remember citizens when your neighbor is out of work it’s a recession, when you are out of work its a depression.

Citizens we are the suckers; stop the insanity, vote the bums out, be they local, state or federal. Take back your freedom, this is the real hope and change we all want.
