They Put The Pole In Policing

To the Editor:

On Thursday afternoon I was issued a speeding ticket on the Boulevard. I apologize to all the residents that live on that street. I do try to slow down, as I am aware that the speed limit is 25 and I travel your road often.

What was most unusual about this was the method in which I was pulled over. A police office was hiding behind a telephone pole on the corner of Budd and the Boulevard. He jumped out in front of my moving car and ordered me to stop. I was visibly shaken. The same feeling you get when a deer runs into your pathway. We all were lucky on Thursday no one was hurt. If these traffic enforcement procedures continue that might not always be the case.

Has anyone else experienced this?
