Just 4 Kids Tag Sale

Have your kids outgrown last year’s fall and winter clothing?  Would you like to shop for this year’s clothing at bargain prices? 

We have a simple solution: NYFS’s first semi-annual Just 4 Kids Tag Sale on Saturday, October 1, at Hawley School.

The event will run from 8 am until 1 pm and will feature clean, gently used children’s items including fall and winter clothing, shoes, sports equipment, baby layette, furniture, toys, games, books, and more. Select items will be offered for half price during the final hour of the sale.

Road Race, Saturday

The 6th Annual Newtown Road Race 5K & Kids Run Benefiting Newtown Youth & Family Services will be held on Saturday, October 1, at 9 am, at Dickinson Memorial Park.

Advance registration can be done online at  www.NewtownRoadRace.com for $20, or on Race Day at Dickinson Memorial Park, Elm Drive, for $25 (adults). The Kids Fun Run is $5 per child, with a $10 family maximum.

New Workshops For Women

NYFS is presenting a new workshop series, “Women in Midlife: Reevaluate & Rediscover.”

This workshop is targeted to women from 45-60 years old who may be worried about where their life is going, focusing on what they are losing rather than being open to new possibilities, feeling invisible in a youth supreme culture, and wanting to make changes but not sure where to begin.

The series will start on Thursday, October 13, from 6:30-7:30 pm, and will meet for six weeks. Cost is $60 for the full series. For more information or to sign up call Kaitlyn at 203-426-8103.
