Equine Anatomy Class At Post University

WATERBURY – Do you know what is inside a horse? Do you know how his muscles and tendons work?  Do you know how his unique digestion works, and how we should feed him? Do you know how his circulation and heart enable him to run from predators?

The important answers to these questions may be discovered by coming to the Equine Anatomy evening class at Post University’s main campus on the Waterbury/Middlebury line. The class runs from Monday, October 3 to November 21 from 6:30-9:30 pm in MacDermid Hall 212 on the main campus (Exit 17 off I-84).

The course covers the anatomy of the horse from the skeletal system, to the function of body systems, to the horse’s senses, to what we need to know to keep it all working. The instructor for this course is Jamison Wallace, who has decades of experience in the horse industry and is a popular riding instructor and 4-H leader in the area. Wallace is president of Centered Riding and is a Level III instructor.

To take the classes for personal enrichment and a Post University Certificate, the cost for each course is $375. To earn CEU credits the cost is $525 per course. To register, for directions, or for more information, call the Equine Department at Post University at 203-596-4631, or email cbaker@Post.edu.
