Bridget Karline Whalen and Matthew Aram Nahabedian were married on May 27, 2011, at The Crystal Room in Naugatuck. The bride was given into marriage by her mother, Amoret Orfield Whalen, of Raymond, N.H. Matthew is the son of Christine and Aram Nahabedian of Sandy Hook.
Justice of the Peace Robert Tendler officiated the ceremony. A reception followed at the same location.
The couple paid tribute to their deceased grandparents during the marriage ceremony as well as during the reception with a photography display.
For her wedding day, Bridget selected a strapless Maggie Sottero A-line chiffon gown with cascading crystals. She carried a bouquet of pastel hued roses designed by Jennifer Matthews of Bristol.
Her sister, Carrie Morel, of Manchester, N.H., served as the matron of honor. Carrie wore an A-line teal strapless dress designed by Alfred Angelo featuring a sweetheart neckline, and she carried a bouquet of white and pink roses.
The bridesmaids were Tanya Cisewski of Raymond, N.H., Felicia Moroney of San Antonio, Texas, Megan Rockwell of Plainville, and Leigh Couture of Waterbury. Their dresses were the same style as the matron of honorâs. Each bridesmaid carried a bouquet of single colored roses that matched the roses of the bridal bouquet.
Mia Markley, of Needham, Mass., was the flower girl.
Eric Samuels, of Waban, Mass., was the best man. The groomsmen were Brendan Whalen of Rochester, N.H., and Joseph Moroney of San Antonio.
Mrs Nahabedian is a graduate of Quinnipiac University, where she earned a masterâs in the art of teaching. She is an assistant manager for Citizens Bank.
Mr Nahabedian is a former student of the University of Hartford. He is employed as a manager for Big Y.
Having celebrated their wedding with a honeymoon on Cape Cod, the couple is in the process of moving into a home in Bristol.
