Newtown 34, Danbury Vikings 7: The defense, which has been stellar all year, was very unkind to the Danbury offense, allowing less than 100 yards in total offense and forced five turnovers. The defense was anchored by some new faces, including Owen Meeker, Evan Prestera, Christopher Frascatore, Brett Pierce, and Jacob Riley, who all had multiple tackles. The defensive line of Aidan Kennedy, Sean Roche, and Kevin Curry also pitched in with a strong pass rush and disrupted the running game, giving Danbury no hope of getting back in the game. On offense, Newtown was able to rack up almost 200 yards on the ground, with ten different players running the ball. Jack Carpenter led all rushers with 67 yards and a touchdown. Jack Kuligowski and CJ Giacin also reached pay dirt, with runs of 49 yards and 6 yards, respectively. The passing game, although used sparingly, was very effective. JP Iarapoli hooked up with Jared Dunn for a 27-yard touchdown pass and Connor Moran hit Luke Wellman on a screen pass that he took to the house for an 18-yard score.
