Police Win Award For Their Uniforms

Police Chief Michael Kehoe announced that the 43-member town police department has won an award for the quality of the police uniforms  that its members wear while on duty.

“It [the department] has received an ‘outstanding achievement honor’ from the National Association of Uniform Manufacturers and Distributors [NAUMD],” Chief Kehoe said.

The department won a Second Place award, known as an “outstanding achievement honor” in NAUMD’s  28th annual Best Dressed Law Enforcement Competition. The award applies to law enforcement agencies that have less than 200 officers.

The police department entered the competition for the first time this year.

The results of the competition with accompanying pictures will be published in Law & Order magazine. The results and pictures also are posted at NAUMD’s website at www.naumd.com.
