Nunnawauk Meadows Resident

Aids Theater Seats Effort

Carole Lee Karlson-Berlin, a resident of Nunnawauk Meadows, presented a check to Newtown Lions’ Gordon Williams for the Edmond Town Hall Seat Program. The two seats purchased are in loving memory of the Karlson-Berlin families and for herself.

A newcomer to Newtown, Ms Berlin strongly believes in lending a helping hand whenever possible.

“This is such a worthwhile cause and fitting since this is Newtown’s tercentennial year,” said Ms Berlin.

Cost of one seat is $300. This pays for the new seat, the floor underneath, and an inscription plaque on the back of the seat.

“This will be a lasting memorial for the tercentennial year,” said project chairman Gordon Williams.

Checks should be made out to the Edmond Town Hall Board of Managers with a notation in the memo section that it is for the Newtown Town Hall Seats program. All contributions to any town are tax deductible. All contributions, large or small, are welcome.

Checks need to be sent to Newtown Lions Club, Attention Gordon Williams, PO Box 218, Newtown CT 06470.

Those seeking additional information may contact Mr Williams at 426-6443.
