New Women’s Business Group Forms In Newtown

The Working Women’s Forum, formerly known as Business and Professional Women (BPW) of Newtown, will hold its first networking/social meeting on Monday, October 3, at My Place Restaurant, 8 Queen Street.

This new organization is designed to provide a forum for working women to meet and grow professionally and personally through education, networking, and the sharing of ideas and experiences.

Everyone who attends will have an opportunity to meet the new board members and network with other working women.

“Bring your business cards, bring a friend, join a committee, become a member, sign up to showcase an event or speak on a topic, and let us know your suggestions and ideas for the new organization,” said board member Kelly Urso.

The event includes a buffet dinner with a cash bar and will begin at 6:30 pm. The fee is $25 and will be collected at the door. To make a reservation, contact Ms Urso at 203-364-1667. “We hope to see you there!” she said.
