Jewish New Year On Litchfield Green

LITCHFIELD — Chabad-Lubavitch of Northwest Corner will hold a Jewish New Year Dinner, open to all members of the community, on Monday, October 3.

Participants will be encouraged to sing their favorite Jewish tunes, listen to a few Jewish stories, meet new people, and become family for an evening. The dinner will include traditional Jewish specialties such as gefilte fish, matzo balls, and knishes.

There will be a special children’s program and child care available.

The new year dinner will take place at 6:30. Services will be held before dinner, at 6.

The Litchfield County Jewish Community Center is at 7 Village Green drive (ground floor of Blockbuster building), off Route 202.

The fee is $18 for adults, $10 for children ages 5–12 (children under 5 are free), and $50 maximum per family. Credit cards are accepted, and reservations are required as money cannot be dealt with on Shabbat and holidays.
