Found Toy

On September 26, a Nintendo Game Boy Advance SP portable game device was found at the Fairfield Hills grounds. Police are holding the device, which includes a game, for safekeeping. The owner should contact police Sergeant Darlene Froehlich at 426-5841 to claim the unit.

DUI Arrest

Police said motorist Donald J. Brelling, 44, of Danbury drove through a red traffic signal at the intersection of Wasserman Way and the Exit 11 interchange of Interstate 84 about 8 pm September 27, so they stopped him to investigate.

Police arrested Brelling on charges of driving under the influence, driving with a suspended license, interfering with police, and violating a traffic signal.

Police said the vehicle that Brelling was driving was reported to be stolen. That aspect of the case is being investigated by the US Department of Veterans Affairs, police said.

Police released Brelling on $70 bail for an October 11 court appearance.

Wasserman Way

Police report they stopped motorist Wilson Sanchez, 28, of Danbury for driving 53 miles per hour in a 30-mph zone on Wasserman Way at about 4:30 pm September 28.

Police charged Sanchez with traveling too fast and with driving with a suspended license. Sanchez was released on $100 bail and is scheduled to appear in court on October 18.
