Chamber Offers $1,000 Shopping Spree

 In ‘Destination Newtown’ Program

The Chamber of Commerce of Newtown has launched the Destination Newtown’s Retail Passbook Program, which offers the chance to win a $1,000 shopping spree.

The Retail Passbook Program is designed to encourage Newtown residents to visit local retail locations and become aware of the various shopping opportunities available in town. Passbooks will be available early October and will be located at each participating retailer, the C.H. Booth Library, local banks, Edmond Town Hall, and the Chamber of Commerce office in the town hall.

Anyone over the age of 18 is eligible to participate.

Once a passbook is obtained, each retail location listed in the passbook must be visited before November 9. While visiting a participating retailer, the passbook must be stamped by an employee of the retailer. All pages must be stamped to be eligible.

Passbook holders must bring the completed passbook to Destination Newtown on November 9 at the Fireside Inn, and submit the book into the raffle bin. One lucky winner will be chosen for the $1,000 shopping spree, which can be used at any combination of the participating retailers.

Participating retailers include Black Swan & Hearth, Truly Yours, McLaughlin Vineyards, Photoland, Drug Center Pharmacy, Avance Esthetiques, Fashion Exchange, Newtown Computer and Financial Services, and UK Gourmet.
