*Two shows will be going on sale Saturday morning at 10.

Tickets for GRETCHEN WILSON and BIG & RICH, who will be at The Dodge Music Center in Hartford (formerly The Meadows) on Friday, November 18, have been set at $55 and $67.50. This will be just within the pavilion area of the venue, so it will be considered an indoor show and therefore will be heated. COWBOY TROY will be opening.

Tickets for PHIL LESH & FRIENDS, who will be at The Chevrolet Theatre in Wallingford (formerly the Oakdale) on Tuesdsay, December 6, have been priced at $30 and $40.

In addition to Lesh on bass and vocals, the “friends” will include CHRIS ROBINSON on vocals and harmonica, JIMMY HERRING on guitar, JOHN MOLO on drums, MOOKIE SEIGEL on keyboards and vocals, and BARRY SLESS on guitar and pedal steel.

Both of these shows will have tickets available through the Chevrolet theater box office and TicketMaster vendors.

*ZOX returns to the area next weekend, with a show at Monkey Bar in Danbury. The guys recently released their second CD, The Wait, and are celebrating that long-awaited effort.

Also performing on Friday, October 7, will be EDDIE & MAFF (close to fate) and BACK OF THE BUS.

The club is at 2 Ives Street in Danbury; call 748-2561 or visit www.MonkayBarDanbury.com for additional information.

*The River Rock Show, a special event this weekend at Mohegan Sun’s Uncas Ballroom, will showcase a collection of more than 125 pieces of original art, lithographs, photography, hand-written lyrics and animation cels from the rock stars such as JOHN LENNON, JERRY GARCIA, RINGO STARR, DAVID BOWIE, JIMI HENDRIX, JOHN ENTWHISTLE, and more.

The show will also feature classic rock photographers showcasing dozens of famous photos from sessions including LED ZEPPELIN, THE ROLLING STONES and more.

There is no admission charge. The show will be open Friday and Saturday, September 30 and October 1, from 10 am until 7 pm, and Sunday, October 2, from 10 am until 5 pm. Items in the show will be available for purchase, with prices ranging from $15 to $4,000. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Cherish The Children Foundatin of Hartford.

The show is being sponsored by The River (105.9 FM).

*The Acoustic Café in Bridgeport will welcome JEFFREY GAINES next weekend (also on October 7), GALDALF MURPHY on October 8, and PATTY LARKIN on October 9.

HOUSEWIVES ON PROZAC will return on October 22, and DUKE ROBILLARD headlines on October 28.

*The LEMONHEADS show tonight (September 30) has been cancelled due to low ticket sales. That’s the second show this week to have succumbed to lackadaisical fans. Monday’s HELMET show was also called off for the same reason.

A LEZ ZEPPELIN show has been postponed for the Hartford venue doe to “health issues,” but that show will be put back on the schedule. An email from the club on Monday afternoon said to watch for a new date in January.

While it may have lost a few shows this week, The Webster has also announced some new additions: BUCKETHEAD will be headlining on Halloween (tickets are $15 in advance), KING’S X returns on November 1 ($12.50 in advance), and RYAN CABRERA, with THE CLICK FIVE opening, will play on November 4 ($27 advance).

*Tickets for a major concert event of the season, AEROSMITH with LENNY KRAVITZ, have gone on sale for a two-night stint at Mohegan Sun Arena. The October 30 and November 1 performances are the kick-off dates for the tour.

Priced at $97.50, $127.50 and $150 a pop, tickets are available through TicketMaster and the arena’s box office.

*The DICKEY BETTS concert at The Ridgefield Playhouse which was formerly scheduled for March 3-4 has now been rescheduled for June 2 and 3. Mr Betts, says a press release from the playhouse/theater, has moved his touring schedule. All tickets purchased for the March dates need to be reissued for the new June dates.

The Betts show hasn’t sold out, so tickets can still be purchased for the new date.

Visit www.RidgefieldPlayhouse.org or call 203-438-5795 for additional information.

The playhouse has plenty of shows on its calendar. AVERAGE WHITE BAND returns on October 22. The new year will start with another local show by JOHN CAFFERTY & THE BEAVER BROWN BAND on January 14 and BLUE OYSTER CULT on January 28.

Also already announced are the following events: THE BACON BROTHERS, February 18; THE ROBERT CRAY BAND, March 21; TOWER OF POWER, April 2; MAYNARD FERGUSON, April 29; SPYRO GYRA, May 6; and EDGAR WINTER, with special guest MONTROSE, May 19.

Until next week I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
