The Sandy Hook Organization for Prosperity (SHOP) will host its annual Rocking The Hook Concert on Saturday, September 30, from 2 to 8 pm, on the Sandy Hook Village Green.

Held on the green overlooking the Pootatuck River off Glen Road, there will be plenty of music, food, and beverages to enjoy.

Performances this year have been planned for The Dirt Road Pickers, at 2 pm; Traveling Danburys, starting at 4; and Green Eyed Lady, at 6 pm.

Admission is free, but donations toward SHOP’s current project — The Heritage Park & Trail — will be gratefully received.

Tthere will be food from Backwoods Dawgs and El Taco Loco in addition to fare available from several establishments within walking distance.

A Beverage Tent will again be serving beer, wine, and water. Adults can enjoy a variety of beers and wines, including several from Sandy Hook vineyard Aquila’s Nest Vineyard. Bartenders will be serving from 2 pm until last call at 7:30.
