New officers of the Newtown Town Court in July 1941 were, from left, Judge Harry F. Bradley, prosecutor, Paul V. Cavanaugh, deputy judge, Edward S. Pitzschler, assistant prosecutor, and Albert Nichols. Mr Pitzschler once owned a barbershop located near the flagpole. Mr Nichols served as Newtownâs postmaster before retiring in 1979 after 38 years of service. Mr Cavanaugh once owned a house on Currituck Road.
