Nicoletti Will Serve Newtown ‘Capably And Ably’
To the Editor:
It is my honor and privilege to enthusiastically endorse my very dear friend, Jennifer Nicoletti, for a seat on Newtown’s Legislative Council representing the 2nd District.
I have known Jennifer for some 40 years, dating back to when we were in grade school together at Griswold Elementary School. And I know she has the innate skills and core values to be an extraordinary public servant.
Throughout middle and high school, Jennifer and I were teammates on the basketball and track/field teams.
There was much that stood out about Jennifer, but what I recall most clearly is that she always possessed the innate skills and abilities to build consensus within a team. She listened to others and then applied common-sense thinking. (And occasionally followed that up with a much-needed outside shot from the perimeter!)
She was also known for her delightful sense of humor that often brought a smile to others — our coaches, our teammates, and sometimes even our opponents.
I know that my friend who played alongside me and wore jersey #15 is ready and able to serve her community capably and ably. It is on that basis that I enthusiastically urge the voters of Newtown to put Jennifer Nicoletti into the game on November 7, in order that they may gain a superb public servant on the Newtown Legislative Council.
