The sound of giggles and chatter from young children filled the Reed Intermediate School cafetorium thanks to Family Fun Night on the evening of September 21.

The annual event was presented by the Newtown Parent Connection and Newtown Prevention Council as an opportunity for families to come together, share a meal, and enjoy spending time with one another.

Attendees filled their bellies with ziti and meatballs, as well as salads and ice cream sundaes, while sitting around the tables talking with their families.

A DJ entertained the crowd with upbeat songs, and vendors provided an assortment of interactive games and prizes for the children.

The public is invited to attend the Newtown Parent Connection’s upcoming events, including a panel discussion called [naviga:u]“A Spotlight on Addiction” on September 30[/naviga:u] at Newtown United Methodist Church, 92 Church Hill Road; as well as the Eighth Annual Kevin J. Carolan Memorial Golf Outing on October 2 at The Golf Club at Oxford Greens.
