Raymond A. Andrejczyk

Raymond A. Andrejczyk, 77, of Shelton, died September 23, at Griffin Hospital in Derby. Born in Bridgeport, a son of Mary and Stanley Andrejczyk, he had been a lifelong area resident. Mr Andrejczyk co-owned with his brothers the Crossroads Store in Newtown.

He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was a graduate of Philadelphia Bible College. He received his master’s degree from Reformed Episcopal Seminary in Philadelphia. He was a teacher, worked for the US Postal Service, and also worked at People’s United Bank.

He was an active member of Black Rock Congregational Church.

The beloved husband of Rose Andrejczyk and loving father of Thomas Andrejczyk, survivors also include a sister, Stell Rozbicki of Bridgeport, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son David, and five brothers and sisters.

Funeral services took place September 27. Interment with military honors was in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton.
