Moving Violations

Police report that they saw motorist Maria Fregosi, 35, of Bridgewater driving westward on Church Hill Road, near The Boulevard, at about 10:30 am on September 25 while speaking on a handheld cellphone, so they stopped her to investigate.

Police said they charged her with speaking on a handheld cellphone while driving and with driving with a suspended license. Police said she was released on $100 bail for an October 10 court appearance.

South Main Street

Police said that while on patrol at about 8:50 am on September 25 near 129 South Main Street, they spotted motorist Carlos Alberto Souffront, 22, of Bridgeport driving closely behind another vehicle, so they stopped him to investigate.

Police said they charged Souffront with failure to drive a reasonable distance apart and with driving with a suspended license. He was released on $100 bail for an October 10 court appearance, police said.
