Feeder Swap, Birds Of Prey At WBU

BROOKFIELD — Wild Birds Unlimited of Brookfield is celebrating its fifth anniversary on Saturday and Sunday, September 29–30.

“The past five years have been a real roller coaster, but we’re still here and growing,” said Margaret Robbins, owner of the store that opened its doors in September 2007. “Now we’d like to give back to our customers and community by having an anniversary celebration with all kinds of sales and fun.”

The event will include live birds of prey each day from 1 to 3 pm. Also, the first ten new customers each day will receive a free birdfeeder and seed.

“We’re holding a feeder swap,” said Ms Robbins. “People can bring in an old feeder and get 20 percent off a new feeder. Old feeders are repaired and we donate them to local schools, senior housing, and rehab facilities.”

Organizations interested in participating in the feeder wwap program are invited to call Wild Birds Unlimited at 203-775-4888.

A complete listing of events can be found on the Wild Birds Unlimited website, wbu.com/Danbury. The store is at 317 Federal Road in Brookfield.
