The Real Lives Of The Romanovs
The Real Lives Of The Romanovs
âRelatively Romanovs,â a powerful presentation, will be offered at C.H. Booth Library Thursday, October 4, at 7:30 pm, by Dr Mona Garcia.
The Ingrid Bergman film Anastasia sparked Dr Garciaâs interest in the family of Nicholas and Alexandra. In trying to discover whether Anastasia actually survived, the central issue of the film, she discovered that the real life of the Romanovs proved much more interesting than the theories about their possible survival.
Dr Garcia taught European history as a visiting professor at Nazareth College of Rochester and an assistant professor at Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She works as a substitute reference librarian in the Fairfield Public Library system. She has presented papers at academic conferences in the United States and Great Britain and has publications in her field, English history. One of her publications has been included in the Royal Historical Society Bibliography.
