SCOTTS VALLEY, CALIF. — Slawinski Auction Company will conduct its next estates auction Sunday, October 21. Auction highlights include items from the Newhall family estate in San Francisco, featuring a George I marquetry Eighteenth Century desk; a Louis XV bureau plat with gilt bronze decoration, early Nineteenth Century; a chinoiserie Louis XV painted marble top table, circa Eighteenth Century; a Levar Kerman palace size carpet; and a pair of early jade bowls with intricate gold paint decoration.

Also of interest is a collection of early snuff bottles including white jade, ivory, glass, porcelain and semiprecious stone. The collection also includes carved ivory netsuke, Japanese cloisonne and more.

Other items to be offered include an early Japanese Nineteenth Century bronze statue, a selection of San Ildefonso Pueblo pottery with several lots signed by Marie and Santa and Margaret Tafoya. American Indian baskets from the Northern California area of Klamath River, and a Federal late Eighteenth century mahogany inlaid tall clock from New Jersey clockmaker Isaac Schoonmaker, also from the Newhall estate.

More than 80 vintage dolls will be sold in this auction, including an assortment of Kestner, Simon & Halbig, A.M. and one of the largest dollhouses with complete interior.
