Blessings For All Animal Friends, Sunday Afternoon

Trinity Episcopal Church invites everyone to its annual outdoor worship service, Blessing of the Animals: A Celebration in honor of Saint Francis, on Sunday, September 30.

The celebration will begin at 4 pm and will be held in the church’s playground.

Everyone in the community is invited to bring their animals — whether family pets, stuffed toys or even a photo – to the playground behind the church, at 36 Main Street. All animals should be appropriately leashed, caged or otherwise restrained for their safety and others. Owners are also asked to bring bags for pet clean-up.

Donations for the Newtown pound will be accepted this year, and can include Iams canned dog food, NutroMax dry dog food, or “pigs’ ears” dog treats.
