APLE Training To Be

Held In Danbury

The Action Planning in Education (APLE) will be holding a five-week training session in Danbury beginning in mid-October.

WeCAHR, an advocacy organization, sponsors the training, entitled “How to Negotiate the Special Education Maze,” for children and adults with disabilities.

Are you felling frustrated? Do you understand how schools develop programs for special education students? Do you have input into a child’s program? Do you feel listened to at a Planning & Placement Team meeting? Then the APLE training could be the place for you.

Come and learn how school systems work, what services are available, rights and benefits protected by special education laws, and how to become an equal member of the PPT.

APLE training is being offered on October 18 and 25, November 1, 8, and 15, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm at St James Church on 25 West Street in Danbury in the library.

WeCAHR is a CEU provider. The fee for the course is $40. Scholarships are available. For more information or registration call WeCAHR at 203/792-3540.
