I grew up in Newtown during the time when almost everyone had a "Nicer in Newtown" bumper sticker and I found last week's

The Permanent Memorial Commission does not want to include the Rock of Angels memorial stone in its plan; Joel Zeisler's neighbors on Bridge End Farm Lane do not want disabled waterskiers in their neighborhood; and an "irate driver" complained to the police department about Kat Holick's dancing, which stopped the happiest crossing guard in town from making people smile!

So much for "Nicer in Newtown!"
