To the Editor:

It never ceases to amaze me the response time when I call the Newtown Police Department.

During the past 25 years, we’ve seen our share of: serious accidents, bears, coyotes, black ice, etc.

The latest help we received was getting the traffic to slow down so two young children could get home safely walking up Mt Pleasant Road with cars and trucks whizzing by.
