To the Editor:

I am writing in support of the election of George Logan, the Republican candidate for Congress in Connecticut’s 5th Congressional District. As the son of immigrants, George is a proud Afro-Latino, a family man, engineer, and small business owner who has also served two terms in the State Senate. Connecticut desperately needs new leadership all across the board from candidates who possess the courage and will to tackle the big issues that continue to plague us all. Our desperate needs can only come from the kind of Republicans who offer a more balanced approach and deep commitment to their constituency, both here at home and in Congress, and that person is without question, George Logan.

In the last election cycle, George came unexpectedly close to defeating Democratic Representative Jahana Hayes after a late surge in 2022, an indicator that Connecticut is finally ready for change in 2024. Today, there are many consistent supporters of the Democratic party who are starting to get it — their votes no longer toeing the party line. And why? Because they are feeling the pain too. People of all political parties are tired of the status quo, tired of the disastrous policies of the Biden/Harris administration; their failed Bidenomics, open borders, and foreign wars all of which, Jahana Hayes fully supports. Simply put, we are going in the wrong direction and Connecticut deserves so much better. Connecticut deserves George Logan!

This historic and pivotal election offers us an opportunity to usher in sensibility, people over politics, and strong leadership that serves us, one and all, by embracing George’s promise of “Help is on the way!” Let’s not miss our chance!
