To the Editor:

The Parks and Recreation Commission would like to thank Jeff Shpunt, a Newtown resident and a senior at Lyndon College in Vermont, who volunteered this summer to create a website, NewtownParkAndRec.org. for the Parks and Recreation Department.

Jeff did an excellent job, working and incorporating our ideas and instructing the staff on how to update and maintain the website. His efforts have enabled Parks and Recreation to better inform Newtown residents of our services as well as the current status of our programs and field situations. Good job Jeff!
